Denver Broncos defend play calling after win over Rams

Following a 30-26 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Rams, the Denver Broncos sit at a 2-1 record. Head coach Sean Payton addressed criticisms regarding the team's short-yardage play calling, noting that the coaching staff is still in the early stages of the process and that statistical samples for specific situational snaps remain low.

Analysis of Week 3 snap counts shows that quarterback Bo Nix and the entire starting offensive line played 100% of the team's 67 plays. In the running game, J.K. Dobbins led the team with 17 carries for 49 yards. RJ Harvey contributed six receptions for 41 yards despite a concussion scare, while Tyler Badie provided a key 12-yard reception to move the chains.

On the receiving side, Courtland Sutton and Pat Bryant saw significant involvement. Meanwhile, the usage of fullback Adam Prentice, who recorded only four snaps and no touches, has raised questions regarding roster management and situational personnel packages.
