Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton reveals cancer diagnosis

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton has shared that a positive doping test result in late 2025 was actually an indicator of testicular cancer. After being notified that the hormone hCG was present in his system—which initially resulted in a six-game suspension—Singleton investigated the finding and subsequently sought medical consultation.

Singleton spoke publicly about the experience to encourage others to seek medical attention. He noted that while the initial news of a potential suspension was devastating, the subsequent diagnosis was a life-altering event.

On the field, Singleton recently earned his first career AFC Defensive Player of the Week award following a performance against the Arizona Cardinals, where he recorded 19 tackles. His teammates, including quarterback Bo Nix, have highlighted his leadership and resilience in overcoming various professional and personal challenges.
