Denver Broncos linebacker Jonah Elliss suffers leg injury

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Jonah Elliss suffered a lower-leg injury during the team’s 17-14 overtime victory against the Seattle Seahawks. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter when Elliss was caught in a collision involving linebacker Alex Singleton and Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.

Following the game, Elliss was seen at Folsom Field supporting the Utah Utes wearing a walking boot and using crutches on his right leg, suggesting a potentially significant injury. While head coach Sean Payton is expected to provide updates, the team has not yet released an official medical status for the player.

The injury comes at a complex time for the Broncos' defense. While the team received positive news with Jonathon Cooper being removed from the NFL commissioner’s exempt list, the loss of Elliss—who had been starting in Cooper’s place—leaves the pass rush depleted.
