Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix on track to return by training camp

Quarterback Bo Nix fractured his right ankle during the Broncos' playoff win over the Buffalo Bills and underwent a second follow‑up surgery days before the draft. Head coach Sean Payton said Nix will participate on a limited basis at the mandatory minicamp in June and will be at "full speed" throwing by the start of training camp in July.

Payton also noted the team is hedging against the injury uncertainty by exploring the signing of a veteran quarterback who has thrown 71 career touchdowns. He emphasized the Broncos will be cautious but expect Nix to be ready well ahead of schedule.
