Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins addresses role rumors

Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins has responded to speculation regarding his diminished role during the team’s recent 30-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Following a game where rookie Jonah Coleman saw increased usage, rumors circulated that Dobbins was unhappy or facing potential displacement.

Dobbins dismissed these claims, stating that the coaching staff has a specific plan for him. He emphasized his commitment to playing a full 17-game season, noting that the team likely limited his carries during the win to avoid unnecessary wear and tear while protecting a lead.

The speculation comes amid reports that the Broncos could potentially acquire Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor before the trade deadline. Analysts have suggested that if Denver lands a new back, Dobbins could become expendable, though he remains a significant part of the roster under his current contract.
