Denver Broncos secure 200th win for Sean Payton against Kansas City Chiefs

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton reached a career milestone on Sunday, earning his 200th victory following a 28-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Payton is the sixth fastest coach in NFL history to reach the mark, achieving it in 320 games.

The victory was marked by controversy regarding a late false start penalty on Chiefs offensive lineman Jaylon Moore, which negated a potential touchdown. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes noted that such calls are rarely made in decisive moments, while head coach Andy Reid expressed disagreement with the ruling.

Ahead of the matchup, both teams faced significant roster adjustments. The Chiefs will be without cornerbacks Mansoor Delane and L’Jarius Sneed, the latter of whom was placed on injured reserve. The Broncos elevated safety Taylor Rapp, running back Cody Schrader, and offensive lineman Gavin Ortega to the active roster, while managing injuries to Talanoa Hufanga, RJ Harvey, and left tackle Garett Bolles.
