Denver’s Large Item Pickup program operates on a 9-week rotation, coinciding with regular trash and recycling collection days. As of 2025, the program has transitioned from a monthly to a 9-week cycle. No appointments or phone calls are required to participate; residents can place up to five qualifying items at the curb by 6 AM on their scheduled day.

Certain items are excluded from the standard program. Appliances require a separate, free appointment system, and the service does not cover hot tubs or full garage cleanouts in a single cycle. Residents are encouraged to use the Denver address calendar or the Denver Trash & Recycling mobile app to confirm specific pickup dates, as holiday schedules may cause delays.
