Denver Nuggets players provide health and development updates
During the Denver Nuggets' media day, players and staff addressed roster additions and health updates ahead of the upcoming season.
Cam Whitmore, a 22-year-old wing signed to a two-way contract, expressed optimism about developing in Denver. Whitmore noted that the presence of veteran leadership, including Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Jamal Murray, provides a unique environment for his growth as a scorer and defender. Head coach David Adelman described Whitmore as highly athletic but noted the player needs to ‘simplify himself’ to reach his potential.
Additionally, guard Christian Braun provided an update on his physical condition following an injury-plagued previous season. After dealing with a severe ankle sprain and calf issues that limited his production and availability, Braun stated he feels ‘great with no restrictions’ entering the new season. He reported that after working through the injury over the summer, his ankle no longer suffers from the stiffness and swelling experienced last year.
