Denver Summit to host Gotham FC in NWSL matchup

The Denver Summit is set to host Gotham FC in an NWSL fixture at Centennial Stadium on September 6. Denver enters the match following a 6-1 victory over the Chicago Stars, highlighted by first NWSL goals from Yuzuki Yamamoto and Olivia Thomas.

Denver faces roster challenges, with Abby Smith and Ally Brazier expected to be unavailable. However, center back Gemma Bonner is expected to return to the lineup, providing defensive depth for coach Nick Cushing.

Gotham FC arrives looking to maintain its position near the top of the NWSL table after a recent 1-1 draw against the Portland Thorns. While Gotham possesses significant league pedigree, analytical models suggest a potential home advantage for Denver based on their performance at Centennial Stadium this season.
