Denza expands Z9 GT lineup with more affordable three-motor electric model
Denza, the premium electric vehicle brand under BYD, has expanded its Z9 GT model lineup with the introduction of a more affordable version in China. The new Z9 GT e3 Flash Charge variant is priced at approximately 329,800 yuan (roughly $49,200), which is 40,000 yuan less than the Performance Edition.
To achieve this lower price point, Denza has opted to simplify certain luxury features rather than reducing mechanical performance. The vehicle retains its high-output three-motor system, delivering a total of 850 kW (approximately 1,140 horsepower) and 1,210 Nm of torque. It also continues to utilize BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0 technology and supports 800V ultra-fast charging.
Key changes to reduce costs include replacing carbon-ceramic brakes with ventilated cast iron brake discs. Additionally, the new version omits certain high-end cabin amenities, such as the dual-compressor internal refrigerator and pneumatic massage functions for the rear seats. The model still features an active rear-axle steering system to maintain driving stability and maneuverability.
