Denza launches Z9GT electric sport sedan and showcases it at Swan Porto Rafael Challenge

Denza, the premium BYD automotive brand, entered the Swan Porto Rafael Challenge sailing regatta to highlight the shared performance demands of high‑speed sailing and electric driving. The company presented its Z9GT model, built on the proprietary e3 platform with three‑motor drive, Cell‑to‑Body architecture, Vehicle Motion Control and a super‑hybrid DM‑i powertrain. The fully electric version delivers over 600 km WLTP range and accelerates from 0‑100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, while the hybrid variant reaches more than 805 km total range. Prices start at €102,450 for the hybrid and €116,450 for the EV, with sales already in showrooms and further dealership expansion planned across Italy.

Denza also inaugurated Italy’s first FLASH Charging station in Bologna, capable of 1,500 kW output and charging the Z9GT from 10 % to 97 % in about nine minutes, even in temperatures down to –30 °C. The station uses the second‑generation Blade Battery 2.0, which offers higher energy density, improved safety and enhanced thermal management.
