Denza launches Z9S electric sedan with up to 1,100 km range
Denza, the premium brand of BYD, has officially launched the Z9S all-electric sedan in China. The vehicle is available in three variants, with official pricing starting at 255,800 yuan ($37,910), which is significantly lower than the previously announced pre-sale prices.
The flagship variant features a CLTC range of up to 1,100 km, a figure Denza claims sets a new global record for the longest range among mass-produced all-electric vehicles. All models utilize BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in five minutes.
Performance options include a rear-wheel-drive setup with a single motor producing 370 kW (496 hp) and a high-performance tri-motor all-wheel-drive variant. The performance model delivers 890 kW (approximately 1,194 hp) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 2.68 seconds.
