Denza tests Z9 GT performance edition at Nürburgring
Chinese premium brand Denza has been spotted testing a new performance edition of its Z9 GT shooting brake at the Nürburgring in Germany. Unlike most manufacturers that use camouflage, the vehicle was tested in a bright aqua finish with orange racing stripes.
The unconfirmed performance model features significant aerodynamic modifications, including a large swan-neck rear wing, a prominent rear diffuser, side skirts, a reshaped front bumper, and a front splitter. The vehicle appears to be aimed at breaking the Nürburgring lap record for production electric vehicles, currently held by the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit.
While specific internal specifications for this performance edition are not yet confirmed, the standard Z9 GT is expected to be available in both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains. An electric version featuring three motors with a total output of 850kW and a 0-100km/h time of 2.7 seconds is slated for release in Australia later this year.
