Denza Z electric sport coupe to debut in Europe with up to 1,600 hp
Chinese premium brand Denza, a subsidiary of BYD, will launch its electric sport coupe Denza Z in Europe. The 1,600 hp, three‑motor coupé will make its European premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July and become available to German customers in 2026, with prices expected to start above €120,000.
Both Denza Z and the Gran Turismo Z9 GT feature ultra‑fast Flash‑Charging capable of 1,000 kW, allowing an eight‑to‑ten‑minute charge. Denza’s European rollout includes a compact SUV and a large sedan slated for 2027, plus three plug‑in hybrid models – the 4.9‑metre Bao 5 SUV, the luxury D9 van and a hybrid version of the Z9 GT. By the end of 2027 the brand aims to offer ten models in Europe. Denza was founded in 2011 as a joint venture between BYD and Daimler; Mercedes‑Benz still retains a small share.
