Denza Z electric supercar to launch at Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 9

BYD's premium Denza brand will unveil its all‑electric two‑door sports car, the Denza Z, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom on 9 July. The car features a triple‑motor layout delivering a combined 1,580 hp (1,180 kW) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds. Three variants are offered – a hard‑top, a soft‑top convertible and a performance version – with top speeds of 300 km/h for the first two and 350 km/h for the performance model.

The Denza Z employs BYD’s e³ technology, a steer‑by‑wire system, the DiSus‑M magnetorheological body‑control system, a Blade lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery and a carbon‑fiber roof. It seats four and weighs between 2,220 kg and 2,290 kg. The vehicle debuted as a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025 and the production version premiered at the Beijing Auto Show the same month. After the UK launch, the car will enter the European market first, with a later rollout in China, where regulatory filings have already been submitted. The Denza Z is positioned to compete with high‑performance models such as the Porsche 911 and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
