Denza Z9 GT launches in UK with 1,140‑bhp electric shooting brake

Chinese premium EV brand Denza, part of BYD, introduced its Z9 GT model in the United Kingdom. The all‑electric shooting brake is priced from £105,000 and delivers 1,140 bhp (1,156 PS) from a three‑motor setup, accelerating from 0‑62 mph in 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 167 mph.

The Z9 GT is equipped with a 122 kWh battery that provides an official range of about 373 miles. Denza’s Flash‑charging technology claims up to 1,500 kW output, allowing a 10‑70 % charge in roughly five minutes. Additional technical features include four‑wheel steering, a vehicle‑motion‑control system for straight‑line stability after a tyre blowout, and a digital parking‑assistant that can autonomously reverse into a space.

Inside, the car offers Nappa leather upholstery, extending rear leg rests, a 20‑speaker Devialet audio system and other luxury appointments. The launch targets high‑performance electric models such as the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo and BMW i5 M60xDrive Touring, positioning Denza as a new competitor in the European premium EV market.
