Denzel Bentley and Carlos Adames set sights on middleweight unification

WBO middleweight champion Denzel Bentley has confirmed his willingness to unify his title with WBC champion Carlos Adames after negotiations for Adames to face IBF champion Osleys Iglesias fell through. Adames publicly redirected his focus to Bentley, noting that the British fighter is the only champion who has openly invited the bout. Both fighters used social‑media posts to call for a unification clash, with Adames stating he would travel to Bentley’s hometown if a deal is reached. The WBO president indicated Bentley is likely to receive approval for a voluntary first defense, while the mandatory challenger Yoenli Hernandez remains active on the undercard of an upcoming event. Other contenders such as Jahi Tucker, Vito Mielnicki and Tim Tszyu have also expressed interest in facing Bentley. The potential fight is expected to be arranged before the end of the year, though no official agreement has been announced yet.
