Denzel Bentley to face Shane Mosley Jr. at Zuffa Boxing 12

Denzel Bentley is set to face Shane Mosley Jr. in a middleweight bout at Zuffa Boxing 12, scheduled for November 7 at London’s Copper Box Arena. The event will also feature Chris Billam-Smith versus Cheavon Clarke.

Bentley, the interim WBO middleweight champion, reportedly chose the Zuffa Boxing agreement over a proposal from Eddie Hearn to defend his title against mandatory challenger Yoenli Hernandez in Ghana. Hearn criticized the decision, suggesting Bentley opted for immediate financial gain at the expense of his title status. While Bentley has reportedly petitioned the WBO to allow the Mosley Jr. fight as a voluntary defense, his championship status remains a point of contention.
