Denzel Ward purchases minority stake in Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has purchased a minority stake in the Cleveland Guardians. The Guardians organization announced the investment on Wednesday, noting that Ward acquired a small portion of the 35 percent stake held by Vice Chairman David Blitzer.

While Blitzer is positioned to become the team’s controlling owner after the 2027 season, Paul Dolan remains the majority owner. Ward, a native of Macedonia, Ohio, expressed his desire to remain connected to the Cleveland community through this opportunity.

Ward joins other notable minority owners, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. In his professional football career, Ward has spent eight seasons with the Browns, earning five Pro Bowl selections.
