Brazil's Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) denied a habeas corpus petition on 1 July 2026, keeping influencer Deolane Bezerra in preventive detention. The decision, issued by Justice Ribeiro Dantas, remains sealed.

Bezerra was arrested on 21 May 2026 during a joint operation by the São Paulo Public Ministry and the State Civil Police, part of Operation Vérnix. Investigators allege she conducted large financial transactions and maintained links to the leadership of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) criminal organization, leading to charges of money laundering and organized crime.

Both Deolane Bezerra and PCC leader Marco Willians Herbas Camacho (Marcola) have now become defendants in the case. Bezerra, 38, is known for her massive social‑media following of over 20 million users and rose to public attention after the 2021 death of rapper MC Kevin.
