Deoleo posts 23% EBITDA rise in H1 2026 after US tariff refund

Deoleo reported a comparable EBITDA increase of 23% for the first half of 2026, reaching €33 million. The growth was driven by higher gross margins, tighter cost discipline and the impact of a €13 million refund of tariffs that had been applied to its olive‑oil exports to the United States after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the duties. Net profit for the period was €19.4 million, helped also by the resolution of a tax claim in Spain.

The group’s margin improvement was supported by stronger performance in higher‑value markets. Volume fell 2.9% in mature markets such as Spain and Italy, but sales rose in North Europe (+10% volume), India (10,000 new points of sale and a new Fígaro campaign) and Southeast Asia. Deoleo attributes the results to its “EVOO‑lution” roadmap, which focuses on product innovation, new formats and geographic diversification to boost profitability.
