Department of Environment warns of unauthorized document use

The Department of Environment (JAS) has issued a warning regarding the unauthorized use of its name, official positions, and employee information for procurement and booking purposes. The department clarified that any letters or documents issued outside of established official channels and procedures are invalid and not recognized by the agency.

This warning follows reports on social media and in the news concerning the misuse of JAS identities for transactions, including vendor appointments and purchases in Kuala Lumpur. The department stated that such actions mislead the public and stakeholders while damaging the agency's credibility and integrity.

JAS has filed a police report to facilitate an investigation and has pledged full cooperation with authorities to ensure the matter is handled according to current laws. The department advises anyone doubting the authenticity of a document bearing its name to seek direct verification through official JAS channels.
