Department of School Education and Literacy holds cleanliness drive in New Delhi
The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), under the Union Ministry of Education, conducted a Swachhata Shramdaan cleanliness drive at a PM SHRI school in New Delhi. The initiative is part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign and was led by DoSEL Secretary T. K. Anil Kumar.
Participants included students, teachers, senior officials, and officers from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The drive focused on cleaning the school campus, adjacent community spaces, and a nearby park. Following the cleanliness efforts, a tree plantation programme was held under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ initiative to promote environmental conservation.
To further educational engagement, a quiz regarding Solid Waste Management Rules was organized to teach students about responsible waste disposal and source segregation. The event aimed to foster sustainable habits and reinforce the commitment to a clean and developed India.
