Depok to receive gas network expansion for 156,000 households

The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) plans to install natural gas networks (jargas) for 156,000 households in Depok, West Java. This strategic national program aims to significantly expand the availability of gas connections in the region.

Currently, Depok has approximately 10,000 existing connections established since 2010. The new expansion will target households across four specific districts: Tapos, Sukmajaya, Cimanggis, and Cilodong. Nani Zara, Head of the Economy and Natural Resources Division for the Depok Regional Secretariat, noted that the project represents a major leap for the city's energy infrastructure. Depok Mayor Supian Suri has expressed support for the initiative and is committed to accelerating the installation process to improve public service quality.
