Deportes Tolima and Atlético Nacional draw 0-0 in Liga BetPlay

Deportes Tolima and Atlético Nacional played to a 0-0 draw in a postponed match for the Liga BetPlay 2026-II at the Metropolitano de Ditaires stadium in Itagüí. Despite Atlético Nacional controlling much of the possession with James Rodríguez and Edwin Cardona in the starting lineup, Tolima's goalkeeper Neto Volpi and Nacional's Franco Armani made key saves to maintain the scoreless tie.

The result leaves Deportes Tolima in eighth place in the league standings with 20 points. This match marked the second game under the leadership of new coach Luis Fernando Suárez. Ahead of their upcoming visit to Jaguares in Montería, Tolima will be without four players—Jan Angulo, Daniel Pedrozo, Kelvin Flórez, and Jorge Cabezas Hurtado—who were sanctioned with 20 million peso fines for violating team discipline by attending a concert outside permitted hours.

Following the match, Atlético Nacional midfielder Edwin Cardona expressed frustration regarding the team's tactical setup, specifically noting the difficulty of playing without a natural center forward. Cardona emphasized that while the team created several scoring opportunities, the absence of a 'number 9' made it challenging to convert those chances into goals.
