Deportivo Cali defeats Nacional 2-0 in Copa Libertadores Femenina

Deportivo Cali Femenino defeated Nacional of Uruguay 2-0 in the second matchday of Group D during the Copa Libertadores Femenina. The match, held at the Banco Guayaquil stadium, was briefly interrupted for over an hour due to a thunderstorm after only 29 minutes of play.

Ingrid Guerra opened the scoring for the Colombian side in the 40th minute. Daniela Castellanos secured the victory with a second goal in the 79th minute. With this result, Deportivo Cali leads Group D with 4 points and a +2 goal difference, while Nacional remains in fourth place with 1 point and a -2 goal difference.

Deportivo Cali is scheduled to face Universidad de Chile on October 22 to compete for the top spot in the group.
