Deportivo de La Coruña reserve side Fabril readies Primera RFEF campaign as Villaverde and Carreira exit

Deportivo de La Coruña confirmed that reserve team players Hugo Villaverde and David Carreira will leave the club after four years. Villaverde, a product of the youth system since 2022, spent the 2024‑25 season on loan and suffered a recent injury before moving on. Carreira, also a youth graduate, appeared in 20 matches last season before being loaned out and ultimately departing as he was not included in the squad plans for the upcoming Primera RFEF season.

The Fabril side will begin its Primera RFEF season with an away fixture against Mérida on the weekend of 29‑30 August. The club unveiled its full 2026‑27 calendar, featuring 38 rounds against teams such as Racing de Ferrol, Lugo, and UD Ourense, with the season set to conclude in May. The schedule highlights a mix of regional derbies and matches against recently relegated sides, underscoring the competitive challenges the reserve team will face in the third tier of Spanish football.
