Deportivo La Coruña locks in 14 core players for LaLiga campaign

Deportivo de La Coruña, back in Spain's top division after an eight‑year absence, has announced that fourteen players will remain untouchable for the upcoming season. Head coach Antonio Hidalgo confirmed long‑term contracts for the squad’s core, extending deals through 2028‑2030 and raising striker Yeremay Hernández’s release clause to €140 million – the highest in the club’s history. Other key signings kept include midfielders Riki Rodríguez and Diego Villares, defenders Giacomo Quagliata and Lucas Noubi, and forward Luismi Cruz, all bound to the club until at least 2029.

Goalkeeper Germán Parreño, who was instrumental in the promotion, also secured a new contract until 2028 after a season of strong performances and competition from newcomer Álvaro Ferllo. The club’s strategy is to preserve the backbone that achieved promotion and to enter LaLiga with a stable, experienced roster.
