Deportivo Mixco defeats UMECIT FC 4-1 in Copa Centroamericana

Deportivo Mixco secured a historic 4-1 victory against Panama's UMECIT FC during the fourth matchday of the Copa Centroamericana 2026 group stage. The match, held at the El Trébol stadium, was largely decided in the first half.

Nicolás Martínez led the scoring for the Guatemalan side with two goals, occurring in the 16th and 25th minutes. Other goals were contributed by Lynner García in the 20th minute and Yonatan Pozuelos in the 34th minute. UMECIT FC managed a consolation goal through Emmanuel Gómez in the 60th minute, but was unable to mount a comeback.

This win marks the first international victory for Mixco in the competition, providing the team with three points in their four matches played so far.
