Deportivo Pasto hosts Bogotá FC in Copa Colombia 2026 opener

Deportivo Pasto welcomed Bogotá FC at Estadio Libertad for the Phase 1B opening match of the 2026 Copa Colombia, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The tournament features 16 clubs from the top division and the Ascenso league, resuming after the 2026 World Cup break.

The Nariño side entered the match after a significant squad overhaul, with veteran players José Bernal, Edwin Velasco, Andrey Estupiñán, Johan Caicedo, Iago Herrerín departing, and former striker Wilson Morelo now serving as assistant coach. New signings such as Jorge Obregón, Joyce Ossa, Julián Quiñones, Frank Martínez and Andrés Ibargüen were recruited to add experience and depth. The eight winners of this round will advance to the round of 16, joining the eight qualifiers from Phase 1A.
