Deportivo Pereira players face uncertainty following Colombia earthquake

Following a significant earthquake in Colombia on Monday, August 10, the Deportivo Pereira football squad expressed concern for their safety and that of their families while traveling. The team was in Barranquilla for a scheduled match against Junior when the seismic event occurred.

Coach Arturo Reyes stated that the players were remaining in their hotel while awaiting travel arrangements to return to Pereira. Reyes noted that while most families are safe, the club is specifically concerned about player Miguel Palacios, who had returned to his neighborhood following training and could not be reached.

Due to the national emergency, Dimayor has postponed the match between Junior and Deportivo Pereira.
