Deportivo Recoleta targets new goals after Copa Paraguay semifinals

Following a historic advancement to the Copa Paraguay semifinals, Deportivo Recoleta president Luis Vidal has outlined the club’s new priorities. The club recently secured a significant victory over Sportivo Luqueño in Itauguá, marking a milestone for the institution.

Vidal stated that while the team is celebrating its first-ever semifinal appearance, the primary focus must now shift to maintaining their division status. Looking ahead, the club aims to compete in the upcoming semifinal against Libertad and potentially reach the tournament final.

Additionally, the club’s current third-place standing offers a mathematical possibility of qualifying for the Copa Libertadores, depending on the results of Guaraní and Cerro Porteño. Immediate upcoming matches in the Clausura tournament include fixtures against Ameliano, Olimpia, Cerro Porteño, and Guaraní.
