Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visits Gia Lai resettlement area
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visited the Nui Cam resettlement area in Cat Tien commune, Gia Lai province, on October 29 to meet with residents relocated from landslide-prone zones. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister presented gifts to policy-beneficiary households and 19 families who have already completed their new homes.
The emergency resettlement project for residents of the Chanh Thang area covers 3.2 hectares with a total investment of 32 billion VND. The first phase was completed and put into use in June 2025. To date, local authorities have processed land allocations for 64 households. While 19 households have moved into their new residences, 39 others are currently finalizing construction, with an expected completion date in December 2026.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring no one is left behind. He encouraged residents to stabilize their lives through labor and production, while requesting local authorities to provide ongoing livelihood support, farming technical guidance, and vocational training to ensure long-term stability.
