Éder Militão returns to Real Madrid training after five months
Real Madrid defender Éder Militão has returned to group training for the first time in five months. The Brazilian player is recovering from surgery on a proximal biceps femoris tendon tear in his left leg, which occurred on April 28.
Militão’s return follows a challenging period marked by multiple injuries, including previous ACL ruptures. His rehabilitation included specialized work on flexibility, agility, strength, and speed. While he has successfully passed medical tests and rejoined teammates at the Valdebebas training center, he is not expected to be immediately available for the upcoming match against Villarreal.
Dr. Lasse Lampainen, who performed the surgery, visited the training facility to oversee the progress, noting that the player is following the recovery plan as intended. On a personal note, Militão also recently celebrated the birth of his second child, Gabriel.
