DER RJ authorized to hold public contest for 35 vacancies

The Rio de Janeiro State Department of Highways (DER RJ) has received official authorization to hold a new public competitive examination (concurso) for 35 vacancies. The authorization was granted by acting governor Ricardo Couto and published in the State Official Gazette.

The available positions cover both medium and higher education levels. Specifically, the vacancies include 10 positions for road technicians, 5 for soil and materials laboratory technicians, and 20 engineering roles. Initial salaries for technicians are reported around R$ 2,473.70, while engineers can start at approximately R$ 8,013.28. Career progression and seniority bonuses may increase these figures over time.

Following this authorization, the department must form a commission to define specific job details and select an organizing body to manage the application process and examinations. A working group has already been established to assist with these preparations.
