DER-SP approves six speed radars on São Paulo state highways
The São Paulo State Department of Highways (DER-SP) has officially approved six fixed speed radars across five state highways. The approval, published on October 1, 2026, covers locations on the SP-075, SP-255, SP-326, SP-333, and SP-334 highways.
One approved radar is located at km 1.2 of the SP-075 (Rodovia Santos Dumont) in the southbound direction, near the Campinas region. Another instance involves the SP-326 in Jaboticabal, where a radar at km 351.9 was already in operation; the new approval does not clarify if the existing equipment is being replaced or if it is an additional unit.
The formal approval does not necessarily indicate that the equipment is new or currently operational, nor does it establish a specific start date for enforcement. Furthermore, the homologation does not change existing speed limits, and drivers must continue to follow the posted signage on each stretch of road.
