Derbyshire Falcons beat Sussex Sharks by 188 runs in One Day Cup

Derbyshire Falcons posted a total of 325‑7 in 50 overs at the OurCoop County Ground in Derby and dismissed Sussex Sharks for 137, winning by 188 runs in the Metro Bank One Day Cup. On his 100th List A appearance, 42‑year‑old Wayne Madsen scored an unbeaten 104, his seventh List A century, while Ross Whiteley added 33. Sussex bowler Jack Morley claimed five wickets for 28 runs, and Derbyshire’s Henry Crocombe took three for 44 with Freddie Price chipping in with two for 47.

The victory gave Derbyshire four points and moved them up the Group B table, while Sussex, hampered by a long injury list, remained winless in the competition.
