Derek Carr to headline Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony

Former NFL quarterback Derek Carr will headline the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2026. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, at Valdez Hall in the Fresno Convention Center.

Carr, a former Fresno State standout and four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, joins his brother, 2017 inductee David Carr. The 2026 class also includes sailor Ruth Barcus, football coach Tom Casanova, motorsports owners Dennis and Teresa Roth, and the late businessman Bill Tatham. Additionally, the 1958 Coalinga College baseball team will be enshrined.

Executive director Dan Taylor noted that Carr enters the Hall 50 years after the induction of fellow Raiders great Daryle Lamonica, the organization’s first inducted quarterback.
