Derek Chisora announces return to boxing with Murat Gassiev fight

British heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora has announced his return to the ring, reversing previous retirement intentions. He is scheduled to fight WBA Regular champion Murat Gassiev in December at an IBA event in Istanbul. Chisora stated that if he secures a victory against Gassiev, he would welcome a rematch with Deontay Wilder.

In separate commentary regarding the heavyweight landscape, Chisora expressed skepticism about Fabio Wardley’s future in the sport. Ahead of Wardley’s October 17 rematch against Daniel Dubois at London’s O2 Arena, Chisora predicted that Dubois would secure a knockout victory within three rounds, suggesting the bout may serve as a final payday for Wardley.
