Derek Hough commits to health and longevity after becoming a father

Dancing with the Stars judge Derek Hough has announced a renewed commitment to his health and longevity following the birth of his daughter, Everley. The 41-year-old dancer shared his new mindset on Instagram, stating that he is “chasing longevity” to ensure he can provide for his child with energy and love every day.

Hough, who welcomed Everley with his wife Hayley Erbert in December 2025, recently brought the nine-month-old to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom for the first time during the season 35 premiere. Reflecting on the experience, Hough noted the emotional significance of being in a space where he has performed for 20 years while now holding his daughter, describing it as entering a “different era” of his life.
