Derek Ramsay cooperates with LTO probe into Porsche plate discrepancy

Actor Derek Ramsay is cooperating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) following an investigation into a Porsche 918 Spyder registered in his name that was found displaying a plate number different from its official records. The vehicle has been placed under alarm status and impounded.

Initial findings from the LTO indicate that Ramsay was not driving the vehicle at the time it was flagged; instead, a businessman was behind the wheel. Investigators are currently examining the circumstances regarding the vehicle's ownership and the discrepancy with the alphanumeric combination displayed on the car.

In a statement released via Instagram, Ramsay denied allegations of smuggling, asserting, “I am not a smuggler, nor did I import this vehicle into the country.” He clarified that he purchased the supercar four years ago from JWorks using his own funds and was informed at the time that the vehicle was tax-paid and legally registered. Ramsay stated he acted in good faith and expressed his intention to cooperate fully with both the LTO and the Bureau of Customs to resolve the matter.
