Derek Ramsay faces luxury vehicle probe amid Ellen Adarna’s cryptic post

Actress Ellen Adarna has drawn social media attention following a cryptic Instagram post regarding “accountability” and “due diligence.” While Adarna did not explicitly name anyone, netizens have linked her comments to a controversy involving her estranged husband, actor Derek Ramsay, and his luxury vehicle.

Ramsay is currently facing scrutiny from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) regarding a Porsche 918 Spyder. The BOC noted that the vehicle was listed in import documents as a Porsche Boxster, which carries a significantly lower value. Authorities estimate that approximately P35 million in import taxes should have been paid, whereas only about P2 million was recorded.

Ramsay has denied involvement in any illegal importation, stating, “I am not a smuggler, nor did I import this vehicle into the country.” He clarified that he purchased the car four years ago from an automotive shop using his own funds and maintains that he does not use fake license plates.
