Darıca investigation continues into deaths of three siblings

Authorities in Kocaeli, Turkey, are investigating the deaths of three siblings—Gülşah (24), Muhammet Ali (17), and Belinay (15)—whose bodies were found in the sea in Darıca on August 20.

Security camera footage shows the siblings leaving their home together at approximately 03:50. They were seen walking toward the Şehit Cevher Dudayev Park area, sometimes arm-in-arm. Their tracks disappear in a 50-meter blind spot near the cliffs, just 20 to 30 meters from where their bodies were eventually located.

Investigators noted that the two sisters, Gülşah and Belinay, left their mobile phones at home, a detail being heavily scrutinized. While no evidence of a fourth person or external interference has been found in camera footage or local boat rental records, investigators are looking into the possibility of suicide.

The father, Murat Sakar, has called for a comprehensive investigation, requesting the review of phone records, city security camera footage, and local vehicle movements. He has also expressed concerns regarding family dynamics and the welfare of his remaining daughter.
