Dermatologist Benedikta Molnárová dies in Dunajská Streda traffic accident

Benedikta Molnárová, a 34-year-old dermatologist and well-known medical professional, has died following a severe traffic accident near the village of Povoda in the Dunajská Streda district.

Preliminary police findings indicate that a driver in a Citroën failed to yield the right of way at an intersection, striking Molnárová’s Renault. The impact propelled her vehicle into oncoming traffic, where it was subsequently struck by a truck. Despite emergency medical intervention, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

Molnárová’s colleagues at the Mazreku Medical clinic described her as an exceptional specialist and a person with a “big heart” who left an indelible mark on her patients. Her family and local residents have expressed profound grief and criticized the safety of the intersection, which they claim is a known “intersection of death” that requires urgent infrastructure improvements, such as a roundabout, to prevent further tragedies.
