Dermiyanti scales Jambi home bakery to Rp20 million daily turnover
Dermiyanti, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owner from Muaro Bungo, Jambi, has successfully scaled her home-based cake business into a large-scale production house. Starting in 2014 with limited capacity, she joined the PNM Mekaar program in 2018 with an initial capital loan of Rp2 million.
Through continuous capital support and business mentoring, her loan ceiling has grown to nearly Rp10 million. A key turning point occurred in 2024 when PNM Mekaar facilitated a comparative study in Bogor, allowing her to acquire new recipes. This led to the successful development of products like Roti Mandau Durian and Mandau Coklat.
Her production facility now employs 15 people and produces up to 3,000 cakes daily, including brownies, rainbow cakes, and various specialty breads. The business generates a daily turnover of between Rp15 million and Rp20 million, distributing products to regions such as Bangko, Sarolangun, and Tebo.
