Derrick Henry prepares to face former team Tennessee Titans

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry is set to face his former team, the Tennessee Titans, this Sunday for the first time since joining Baltimore. Henry, who spent eight seasons with the Titans and won the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year award there, described the upcoming matchup as a “crazy moment” and noted that while there is still “love” for his former franchise, the competition will be intense.

Henry revealed that the Titans did not offer him a new contract before he signed a two-year, $19 million deal with the Ravens ahead of the 2024 season. He characterized his departure as “bittersweet,” stating that he knew the team was ready to move on. Reports indicate that a potential trade to Baltimore was discussed during the 2023 season, but the deal was not finalized by Titans leadership at that time.

Currently, Henry is leading the NFL in carries and rushing touchdowns during his third season with the Ravens. The Ravens enter the Week 4 matchup with a 2-1 record, while the Titans are 0-3.
