Derviş Zaim Named Jury President of Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival
Renowned Turkish writer, director and producer Derviş Zaim has been appointed jury president for the National Feature Film Competition at the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. The festival will run from 24 to 31 October 2024, and applications for the competition close on 31 August at 23:59 on the festival’s official website.
The top prize for the National Feature Film Competition is set at 5 million Turkish lira. Zaim, a Boğaziçi University business graduate with a master’s in Cultural Studies from the University of Warwick, has directed ten feature films and two documentaries, winning a total of 18 awards at previous editions of the festival. He is also an award‑winning novelist and teaches at Istanbul Medeniyet University and Near East University.
Zaim’s appointment highlights his long‑standing involvement with the Golden Orange Festival, where his films have repeatedly earned recognition, and underscores the event’s status as Turkey’s most established film festival.
