Desaer and EINSA announce new developments in aviation technology
Brazilian aeronautics company Desaer is utilizing the Siemens Xcelerator digital platform to develop the ATL-100, a twin-engine aircraft designed for diverse missions. The aircraft is intended to carry up to 19 passengers, positioning it in the light regional aircraft segment to connect destinations with lower demand than larger commercial planes.
Desaer will use the digital ecosystem for various project phases, including initial design, engineering, and virtual system validation. This digital approach allows for the use of virtual models to analyze configurations and identify potential issues before physical manufacturing begins.
Separately, the Spanish company EINSA has introduced the ASU-310T, a dual-turbine pneumatic air starter, at the GSE Expo Europe 2026 in Lisbon. The equipment is designed to support both civil and military aircraft, ranging from narrow-body to wide-body platforms. The system can operate with a single turbine providing 155 ppm or both turbines simultaneously to reach a maximum flow of 310 ppm, offering flexibility for airport operators and air forces managing heterogeneous fleets.
