Descente expands 6D Pattern technology and receives manufacturing award

Descente is expanding its product lineup and receiving industry recognition for its manufacturing excellence. The company is introducing its “6D Pattern” technology to golf and Ortelines categories. This design, developed at the DISC OSAKA research center, analyzes both body and garment movement to reduce physical stress during activities like swinging or running.

Additionally, Descente’s Mizusawa Factory has been awarded the “Topic Award” at the 44th Mainichi Fashion Awards. The recognition follows a 3 billion yen investment to rebuild the facility in Iwate Prefecture. The new factory aims to support high-value manufacturing for products like “Mizusawa Down,” focusing on quality, environmental considerations, and employee satisfaction as a model for domestic production in an era of overseas manufacturing.
