Descente launches AXIS THEORY golf polo inspired by Xander Schauffele

Descente Japan has announced the release of the ‘AXIS THEORY’ short-sleeve polo shirt as part of its premium ‘g-arc’ collection. The apparel was developed based on swing analysis of professional golfer Xander Schauffele conducted at the Descente Innovation Studio Complex in Osaka.

The analysis revealed that Schauffele maintains high stability by minimizing body rise and axis deviation from address to the top of his swing. To replicate this, the shirt utilizes ‘AXIS THEORY’ technology, which employs special processing on the back to suppress stretching and help the wearer maintain a stable core axis.

Key technical features include ‘ARC CUT’ circular cutting for improved range of motion, laser-cut ventilation in high-heat areas, and ‘MU-SEW’ seamless technology to reduce discomfort. The product line includes both a standard model and a special edition featuring Schauffele’s original embroidered mark, with retail prices set at 44,000 yen.
